Privacy Policy

Stonekeel respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We are based in the EU, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, as does the UK GDPR for visitors in the United Kingdom.

The short version

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data, ever.
  • We only collect what we need: your email if you sign up for our course, and your message if you contact us.
  • Our website analytics are privacy-first and cookieless, and do not identify you.
  • You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time.

What we collect, and why

If you sign up for our email course

When you join our free "Investing for Beginners" course, we collect your email address (and your name if you provide it). This is handled by our email provider, MailerLite, using a double opt-in, so you confirm before anything is sent. We use it to send the course lessons and occasional related updates. Our legal basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

If you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message. The form is delivered by Web3Forms, and email to [email protected] is forwarded to our inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. We use this to reply to you and keep a record of the correspondence. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding, and taking steps at your request.

When you simply browse the site

  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It gives us aggregate figures such as which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, and rough country and device type. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
  • Hosting and security. The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data including your IP address to serve pages and protect the site from abuse, and may set an essential security cookie. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website.

Affiliate links

Our links to brokers are currently plain links with no tracking. If we introduce tracked affiliate links in future, the affiliate network may set a cookie or record a click when you follow one. We will update this policy before that happens and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

Embedded tools

If one of our calculators is embedded on another website, it runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs are not sent to us.

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run this site for us, and only what each one needs to do its job:

  • MailerLite sends the email course and stores course sign-ups.
  • Web3Forms delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site, protects it, provides our cookieless analytics, and forwards email sent to [email protected].

Each provider processes this data under its own data processing terms.

International transfers

Some of the service providers we use to run the site may process data outside the European Economic Area or the UK. Where they do, they rely on legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.

How long we keep it

  • Email course sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
  • Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle your query, and a reasonable period after.
  • Analytics: aggregate only, retained by Cloudflare in line with their policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected].

Cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. Cloudflare may set an essential security cookie that is needed to serve and protect the site, and MailerLite's sign-up form may set a cookie when you interact with it. If we add affiliate tracking in future, we will update this section and handle consent where required.

Children

This site is aimed at adults making their own financial decisions and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Complaints

If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Cyprus that is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
